Hi, I’m Masako! Welcome to Sake and More. You’ll find here, sake information, Japanese home cooking recipies, and more . I write articles, homemade recipes, and take pictures. Sometimes, I use pictures taken by my husband.
My husband I met and wed in Tochigi Prefecture where is known for including Nikko city.
He found Toshigi’s Sake was so tasty, but I thought Sake was a drink for old men… Of course, he was not an old man. One day, we visited a brewery. I saw ladies bought some Sake!
I was surprised the sight. He bought a Sake then.
I noticed that there were many breweries in Tochigi. They made unique and tasty Sake, but they were not sold widely. Because they made a fewer Sake than a large brewery, they could not sell their products throughout Japan.
After graduating from college where I majored in art history, I worked as a teacher in a cram school that is called juku in Japan. I taught elementary school students to high school students. The work was fun for me, but I left the school two months before my first child’s birth.
When I conceived our second child, we moved to Miyagi Prefecture due to my husband’s job transfer. And now, we have one more child, there are five people in my family and stay Miyagi . My husband love to play with our children.
Our three child are very energetic! They eat very much and love playing outside. My husband is looking forward to his day off because he can spend with children all day.
Why I started to this blog?
I thought that I wanted to transmit information of Sake, Japanese Food and more to the world. And now, I have just started www.sakeandmore!
