There are many tasty sake in Japan, those are not well-known in abroad.
My husband loves sake but he always drink it. He only buys the sake that he really wants to drink. He bought a sake in November. That sake was Sakata brewery’s Jyokigen Okina. The brewery is located Sakata city, in Yamagata Prefecture where is known to fruits like cherry, water melon and pear.
Jyokigen Okina is a limited edition, and sold in every November. It is unique sake. Blend honjozosyu and daiginjyoshu, the ratio is 8 to 2. The tasty is light and fruity. It is good for sake beginner, and good for its price.
He and I drank it more than usual. The sake was really smooth!
Well, the mask is Okina, it is used Noh. It is one of the oldest traditional arts of Japan. Noh is mask play and is played by only male Noh-performers. The Okina is a special play, to pray for universal peace, family prosperity, rich harvest. So, this sake is a good luck sake!
